& Lessons

O1 - 1:1 INSTRUCTION

One-on-one support on your property for clients located within approximately two hours of Gisborne, Victoria.

Bree travels to you and works with your cattle in their usual environment, allowing the lesson to focus on the specific challenges you are experiencing at home.

    • Moving cattle more calmly between paddocks

    • Moving cattle through yards and races

    • Working through a stage of the halter training process

    • Building trust so cattle can be approached or brushed

    • Improving handler confidence and practical skills

    • Understanding the cause of a particular behaviour and working through behavioural problems

    • One-on-one cattle training where additional support is needed

  • The lesson is designed primarily to educate you as the handler, giving you a better understanding of your cattle and the tools to continue working with them confidently.

    Bree can also work directly with the cattle where practical assistance with training is needed.

Online Instruction

Online lessons are a flexible option for clients who need support before a clinic is available nearby, live interstate or want help with a specific cattle behaviour or training challenge.

Sessions can be used for new problems or as follow-up support after previous training with Bree.

    • Problems with leading

    • Difficulty getting a halter on

    • Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour towards people

    • Troubleshooting a stage of the halter training process

    • Follow-up support after a clinic or in-person lesson

  • Lessons are delivered by video call and can take place from the comfort of your home.

    Where reception and safety allow, the lesson can also be completed outside with the cattle so you can discuss the situation and practise Bree’s guidance in real time.

O3 - CLINICS

A practical clinic for people who are just starting out with cattle, as well as experienced handlers who want to improve the way they understand and work with them.

This clinic explores cattle behaviour and communication, helping handlers move cattle with more confidence and less stress in the paddock, through the yards and into the race.

One or Two-Day Cattle Halter Training Clinic

O4 - CLINICS

A practical clinic that teaches both the foundations of cattle behaviour and the step-by-step process of halter training through Natural Cowmanship.

Participants learn how to build confidence gradually, helping cattle become comfortable with human approach, touch, haltering and leading.

    • Building cattle's confidence around people

    • Touch, desensitisation and preparation for haltering

    • Teaching cattle to respond to pressure and release

  • The clinic includes a mix of theory, demonstration and hands-on learning. Participant numbers are limited so each person has more opportunity for individual guidance.

  • Handlers leave with practical halter training skills, a clearer understanding of cattle behaviour and a lower-stress process they can continue using at home.

HOST A CLINIC

Bree’s clinics can be hosted by farms, private groups and organisations across Australia.

Hosting gives your local cattle owners and handlers access to practical education while providing an opportunity to showcase your property and cattle.

Clinic requirements can vary depending on the property, cattle and type of clinic being hosted. Bree can discuss the setup with you before confirming whether the property is suitable.

Host Benefits

Clinic Requirements

  • Approximately 12 to 25 people, including the host’s complimentary ticket.

    At least two cattle are needed for practical handling, with additional cattle in a paddock for observation where possible.

    Animal ages and sizes are flexible. Cattle do not need to be halter trained, although the animals used for close handling should ideally be quiet enough to work with safely.

    • A working set of yards and race

    • At least one smaller yard, approximately four to six metres in diameter

    • A larger yard where participants can safely gather

    • An indoor or undercover area for theory and meals

    • Tables, crockery and cutlery

    • An urn for tea and coffee

    • Parking for up to approximately 20 vehicles

    • Toilet access

  • The host supplies lunch, drinks, morning tea and afternoon tea paid for by BBB.

Hosting a Cattle Handling Clinic

Hosting a Cattle Halter Training Clinic

  • Approximately 8 to 10 people, including the host’s complimentary ticket.

    Ideally six to ten cattle, with one animal available for each handler where possible.

    Cattle should generally be under 12 months old, unhalter-trained and calm enough to be safely worked around by people.

    • At least four small yards, approximately three to six metres in diameter

    • No more than two cattle in each yard, with fewer preferred

    • Photos or video of the yard setup may be requested before approval

    • An indoor or undercover area for theory and meals

    • Tables, crockery and cutlery

    • An urn for tea and coffee

    • Parking for up to approximately 10 vehicles

    • Toilet access

  • The host supplies lunch, drinks, morning tea and afternoon tea paid for by BBB.
